2010
live media concert / performance with Azot
duration / 45'
Live media concert by Azot and Messmatik performed in Zagreb at the Museum of Contemporary Art, inspired and dedicated to one of the foremost Croatian abstract geometric painters Ivan Picelj.
Messmatik and Azot immerse the audience in a deeply evocative environment, alternating rigid geometrical structures with fluid dry-ice artifacts. The composition tethers around a gradually drifting subsonic pulse, modulating other strata into a rich maze of spectral overtones. Entropic particles align themselves geometrically, shifting in and out of focus with addition of every new layer. The space heaves, subsuming the audience and turning them into pillars, vestiges of some lost sacred geometries… (I.B.). watch video

Luminokinetika
2010
audiovisual concert with Ivan Arnold and Dunja Kobas
duration / 42'
The project is realized like mutual relationship and interaction of sound (live electronics, piano and violin) and image (specially programmed video software). Based on Srnec’s affinity for experimentation, adventure and soulfull play, the live act leads the visitors to the center of Srnec’s light objects - Luminokinetika.
Observing, researching and recording the hidden light and sound traces which emanates from lumino objects, and which are indiscernible and unvisible in everyday detection, the performance is giving a new experience to comprehend the synesthesia. This special treatment invites the public to expand their possibility to see the sound and hear the image, giving them a better understanting of Srnec’s methods: painting with light, color and sustance. watch video

Time presence study in form of live media
Realtime builded audiovisual performance is based on a play with temporal dimensions and moment annotations. The portraits of the visitors/public are stopped with a Polaroid camera. The ambient sounds and the triggering moment of caputure, modified in time intervals, constitute the sound carpet. The formation and development of the live moment is monitored and simultaneously recorded.
It is blended with already existing polaroids of other portraits - to public unknown people - and natural landscapes. The possibility of returnig back the previously recorded annotations with free manipulation form is creating a sense of new, oniric isolated moment.
